Habitat for Humanity Vietnam is seeking enthusiastic and responsible volunteers to join our Special Build 2026 as Event & Communication Supporter from 20–29 August 2026 in Da Nang, Hoi An, and Que Son.
As an Event & Communication Supporter, you will play a dual role in supporting both event implementation and communications documentation throughout the Special Build journey. Working closely with the Resource Development & Communication (RDC) Team and event coordinators, the volunteer will assist in organizing and facilitating key event activities while also documenting the volunteer experience through photos, videos, interviews, and social media content. The role is ideal for students or young professionals interested in communications, event management, storytelling, community engagement, and nonprofit development.
Key Requirements
- Vietnamese nationality
- At least 18 years old
- Based in Da Nang or able to arrange travel to Da Nang independently
- Students with majority in communications, journalism, media, multimedia, marketing, public Relations, film Production, photography, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in photography, videography, storytelling, content creation, or event documentation is required.
- Proven photography skills and experience using DSLR, mirrorless cameras, smartphones, or equivalent equipment.
What Habitat Provides
- Training will be provided, including basic information about Habitat, technical terms, first aid, duty of care, and general construction requirements.
- Accommodation, transportation, and meals in Hoi An and the project site will be covered by Habitat during the program.

About Special Build 2026
Vietnam Special Build 2026 – “Home Matters” will take place in Da Nang, one of Vietnam’s most disaster-prone regions, faces annual floods, typhoons, and rising heat that threaten housing and community resilience. Through this project, Habitat Vietnam aims to provide housing support for 16 poor or near-poor households. As a flagship event marking Habitat Vietnam’s 25th Anniversary, the Home Matters Special Build 2026 will deliver safe, durable, and climate-resilient homes while offering volunteers an inspiring, hands-on experience that demonstrates housing as a foundation for health, dignity, and resilience.
