Project Name: Credit Housing, WatSan Improvements Project for the Poor in Kien Giang

The second phase of this four year project began in January 2007, and continues working towards the objective of assisting 2,900 poor families in 12 targeted communes, by improving quality shelter, sanitation and water supply in individual dwellings. 

The improvements will be realized through micro-finance and the establishment of a revolving loan fund as well as the provision of technical support in low cost construction technologies.  This project serves an area with a significant Khmer population, which makes up a disproportionate number of the most poor commune in the province.

Success to date:
- The second phase has alreay  witnessed over 1284 families achieve safe and decent housing, or a WatSan solution.
